ANNA VON LIPA

Since 1996, Anna von Lipa has collaborated with some of the oldest and most prominent glassblowers in Europe, designing and producing luxurious free-blown glass art. The glass products are proudly produced in Bohemia, Czech Republic.

1990

THE BEGINNING

It all began in the 1990s with a family trip to Prague that changed the family's path forever. They discovered that the beautiful green country of the Czech Republic, located in the heart of Central Europe, offers more than just captivating landscapes and an interesting history. The country is also the center of Europe's most exquisite glass art, both historically and today.

2000

BACK TO HOME

Back home in the Danish town of Sorø, the trip to the Czech Republic became a milestone for Jytte and an important asset for her lifestyle stores around the Danish country. They presented their first collection of glass, which was a mixed repertoire of modern interior design, vintage and handicraft.

2005

COOPERATION

In the following years, they continued a growing collaboration with some of the best glassworks and leading designers in the Czech Republic. Jytte and the family took over a historic barley farm in the northern part of the country, right in the heart of the Glass Empire in Bohemia, and bought a small famous glass factory in the town of Novy Bor.

2013

THE MOVE

The years passed, slowly and steadily, while our children grew up in Sorø. It was only in 2013 that it became possible for Christian and Jytte to take the leap and follow their dream of moving permanently to the farm in Ceska Lipa, in the Czech Republic. They established Anna von Lipa based on Jytte's experience and great interest in Art Deco and vintage interiors.

2021

THE PRESENT

Today, it is a joy for Jytte and the family to see Anna von Lipa represented in most of Europe. The inspiration and idea development have arisen organically when they have spent time with the most skilled glass artists. They use antique, traditional shapes and patterns and add a Scandinavian twist to suit modern tastes.
